Interface, specified and installed for commercial spaces.
Modular carpet tile and resilient flooring built for commercial spaces.
Modular carpet tile pioneer
Interface was founded in 1973 by Ray C. Anderson in LaGrange, Georgia. Anderson had spent more than a decade in the carpet industry before striking out on his own. He started with a small team and an idea that would change commercial flooring: carpet tiles that could be installed, replaced, and eventually recycled without tearing out an entire floor.
The company grew into one of the largest carpet tile makers in the world. It went public in 1983 and has traded on Nasdaq under the ticker TILE ever since. Today Interface is headquartered in Atlanta and earns well over a billion dollars in annual revenue.
In 1994, Anderson committed Interface to eliminating its environmental footprint, an effort the company called Mission Zero. It reached that goal around 2020: zero waste to landfill and major cuts to emissions and energy use. In 2018, Interface declared its carpet tile and luxury vinyl products carbon neutral across their full lifecycle. The company backs its modular carpet tile with a 15-year product warranty in the Americas.
Interface offers modular carpet tile, luxury vinyl tile, and rubber flooring for commercial spaces like offices, healthcare, schools, and hospitality. For Florida commercial projects, the modular format makes future repairs simple: replace only the tiles that take damage rather than pulling up a whole floor. Blackburn's carries Interface because the quality and the warranty back up the promise.
