Pre-Installation Tips

Thank You For Your Purchase!

Thank you for your recent purchase of floor covering.  We greatly appreciate your business and highly value the confidence you have placed in our firm.

To ensure a timely and effective installation, our installers have asked that we make you aware of a few tips that expedite the installation process so that your normal lifestyle will not be interrupted more than absolutely necessary.

The tips are listed below.  We understand that all tips are not applicable in every situation and some may be difficult for you to do.

The goal of our staff, both sales and installation, is for you to be completely happy with your floor covering purchase.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call us anytime

Floor Covering Pre-Installation Tips

  • Installers typically arrive between 9-10am, unless otherwise discussed.
  • Where there is electronic equipment (such as entertainment centers or offices) it is the customer’s responsibility to disconnect and reconnect any wires and cables prior to and after installation.
  • If possible, please try to remove all or most of the furniture from the area where your new flooring is to be installed.  This will hasten the installation of your new floor covering.  (The bathtub is a good place to store small items)
  • Remove all valuables, knick knacks, photos, small items, etc.  from dressers, tables, bookshelves, entertainment centers, etc..
  • Closets should be clean at the bottom – Remove long clothing and shoes
  • Strip all beds of sheets, blankets, pillows, etc..
  • Remove any loose objects or wall hangings
  • Whenever there is demolition of existing flooring, there will be dust.  This dust will range in severity from light (Carpet/LVP/Laminate removal) to possibly heavy (Tile/Hardwood removal) dust. Please know there will be a very fine dust when removing any ceramic or porcelain tile

These tips will help your installer do a better job for you.  Packing valuable heirlooms and sentimental pieces will save your installer time and prevent possible breakage.  Your installer will greatly appreciate your cooperation.
