The community we serve
The Hamptons Golf & Country Club sits off US-92 in Auburndale, a short drive west of our Havendale Boulevard showroom. It is a gated, 55+ manufactured-home community of about 830 home sites, owned and operated by Sun Communities. An 18-hole executive golf course sits on the property, and Polk County's own tourism office lists that course as open to the public.
A manufactured home does not carry its floor the way a block house does. It rides on wood decking over a crawl space, with a marriage line running down the center of a double-wide, and Florida humidity working on that wood from below in every season. The walls are not framed like a block house either, so a cabinet needs the right blocking behind it, not just the nearest stud. A heavy stone countertop can ask more of the base cabinets than they were built to carry. We look at what is holding the house together before we ever write a quote.
Manufactured homes are a big part of Polk County housing, and they are their own trade. Know the structure, respect it, and build the install around it.
