Tile buying guide
Tile is the workhorse for kitchens, baths, laundry rooms, and lanais: waterproof, heat-proof, and effectively permanent. As you browse, porcelain is the pick for floors: it's denser and harder than ceramic, rated for foot traffic, and rectified edges let us set tighter, cleaner grout lines. Wood-look porcelain planks give you the warmth of hardwood in wet areas where real wood can't go.
Large-format tile, twenty-four inches and up, means fewer grout lines and a calmer, more expensive-looking floor. For lanais and pool baths we choose slip-rated finishes, and a mid-tone grout stays clean-looking far longer than bright white. Visualize a few sizes and layouts below. Then we'll measure, recommend a grout color, and handle the waterproofing and substrate prep that make a tile floor last.
