A full multi-material commercial fit-out at the DeSoto County Admin Building: luxury vinyl plank, heat-welded sheet vinyl, carpet tile, and ceramic floor and wall tile, with two wet areas sloped to drain.

The story
The DeSoto County Admin Building was a big, mixed-material job for SEMCO Construction, the kind that takes real coordination to get right. We installed resilient flooring and ceramic tile across the building, each material spec'd for the room it went in.
Most of the floor was resilient. We laid 7,700 square feet of luxury vinyl plank and 8,000 square feet of sheet vinyl, with the sheet vinyl seams heat-welded for a sealed, durable surface that stands up to a working county building. We added 1,000 square feet of commercial carpet tile, then finished those areas with 360 linear feet of cove base.
The tile scope was just as large: 1,250 square feet of floor tile and 3,500 square feet of wall tile, trimmed throughout with metal Schluter profiles for clean, protected edges, plus 400 linear feet of tile base. In two large wet areas we built up a sand mix to slope the floor to the drains, so water always goes where it should.
Different materials, different trades, one finished building. It went down clean and on schedule.
