DeSoto County Courthouse

SEMCO Construction brought us in for the DeSoto County Courthouse, a commercial flooring scope that required tight coordination inside an active government facility.

We installed 1,600 square feet of heavy-duty commercial carpet tile on the courthouse floor and VCT in the elevator. Each material was spec'd for where it would live: carpet tile for the foot traffic of a working courthouse, VCT for the hard use an elevator floor takes.

Floor prep was a significant part of the job. The substrate required patching before either material could go down — work that has to be done right or nothing above it stays flat. The install went clean and on schedule.
