Idea Public Schools

Blackburn's Interiors was contracted by Springer Voss Construction to install carpet tile, floor and wall tile, VCT, and vinyl base at the new Idea Public Schools location in Lakeland.

Installation included approximately 7,000 square feet of carpet tile, 4,000 square feet of vinyl composition tile, and 2,400 lineal feet of vinyl base. The project also encompassed 300 square feet of new floor tile and 1,300 square feet of new wall tile across new restrooms, plus two new waterproofed showers.

Demo work began in February 2024 to allow other trades access. Floor and wall tile installation, including the two showers, was completed in approximately 10 working days. Carpet tile, VCT, and base installation followed after material acclimation, with the project finishing in June 2024 on schedule.
