Karndean Designflooring was founded in 1973 by Michael "Mike" Walker as a small UK family business. Walker's stated philosophy from the start was vinyl flooring that's "always practical, but beautiful at the same time" — and that focus on design-led luxury vinyl has shaped the brand ever since.

The company is still headquartered in Evesham, Worcestershire, in England's Cotswolds region. The US headquarters is at 1100 Pontiac Court in Export, Pennsylvania — a suburb of Pittsburgh — and Karndean operates in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. More than 300 employees serve those markets globally.

Unlike most flooring brands, Karndean only makes one thing: luxury vinyl plank and tile. Sweep or vacuum regularly. Damp-mop with plain water or a Karndean-approved cleaner. Skip the steam mop and harsh chemicals — they're the only things that really hurt a Karndean floor. Felt pads under furniture protect the wear layer indefinitely. For glue-down installs, dragged furniture is less of a concern than on a floating click-lock floor. Karndean ships a care sheet with every order and we send you home with one when we install — call us if you ever have a question about which cleaner to use.

Karndean comes in two formats and we install both. Glue-down jobs — Art Select, Da Vinci, Knight Tile — require a flat, dry, sound subfloor and adhesive setting. The result is a permanent, stable install that handles heavy furniture and commercial traffic better than any floating floor. Rigid-core jobs — Korlok Select, Van Gogh — use 5G locking for a floating install over a level subfloor. Most jobs install in one to two days. Karndean products carry a lifetime residential warranty when professionally installed, and our crew handles subfloor prep, transitions, and baseboards as part of the job.
